Description

Meet the Loaded Fathom.

The Fathom is one of the easiest boards to ride in the world and a ton of fun. Built around the revolutionary Loaded Zee Bracket truck mounting system, with large wheels and a low ride height, the Fathom is our answer to the daily commute (and the long way home).

With up to 105mm of Orangatang urethane underfoot and a double-drop platform slung low over the pavement, the Fathom bridges the gap between board and bike. It reaches and sustains true commuting speeds, rolls over bumps and cracks that would stop a conventional skateboard cold, and still carves through crowds like a much smaller board.

The Fathom is built for speed and momentum. Up to 105mm of Orangatang urethane keeps you rolling at true commuting speeds, faster than a conventional skateboard wants to go, and holds that pace with far fewer pushes. Get a good workout, explore the roads less traveled, or get to class/work without breaking a sweat. It's up to you.

UNRIVALED CONTROL

Stable and easy to control, even at high commuting speeds. The low ride height makes pushing and footbraking effortless, the wide deck gives your feet a forgiving, stable platform, and upturned corners keep them out of the wheels. Don't turn your feet into street meat!

BIG WHEELS, TIGHT TURNS

A wooden double-drop with the curvature to clear 105mm wheels is practically impossible to build, so we developed the Zee Bracket in partnership with G-bomb: it takes the drop's stress off the maple layup, letting us shape huge wheel flares right into the platform. Double-drop Zee Brackets and relatively narrow trucks make this board surprisingly responsive and agile. Slalom through pedestrians, snake down alleys, carve the whole lane. A board with wheels this size has no right to turn this well.

PICK YOUR EVERYTHING

The Custom Complete is the Fathom, your way. Start with the Strata or Drift deck (Zee Brackets included), then choose your trucks, wheels, and bushings to dial in exactly the ride you're after. We handle the rest: Jehu V2 bearings, hardware, and any shock pads or risers your build calls for. Have it arrive assembled and ready to rip, or shipped as parts if wrenching is half the fun. However you spec it, it's still a Fathom: low, huge-wheeled, and absurdly easy to ride.

COMMUTE-PROOF CONSTRUCTION

Every Fathom features 8-ply maple construction, slight camber for road-smoothing suspension, and lifted corners (with more aggressive grip tape) to lock in your feet. The Strata takes it further: a 3D-textured thermoplastic base bonded to the bottom of the deck adds strength to the layup and shields the maple from water, and a full dip seals the edges and rails for good measure, so your commute doesn't need to check the forecast. And it's large enough for comfort but compact enough to carry on the train and stow under your desk.

Fathom: More Like Phantom

"This setup hits different in person. The deck art is on another level. I immediately rolled to the hardware store to give the trucks a custom enamel finish. It’s incredibly planted for a surfskate, providing a rock-solid commute while still letting you pump and carve with ease. I’m still chasing that deep, dramatic dive of a C7, but this build is undeniable. The Icarus was the gold standard for a long time, but the Fathom just took the crown.
