FUNCTIONAL DESIGN

Drop-through truck mounting for stability and easier pushing. Large cutouts maximize wheel clearance for deep carves and tight turns. Nose and tail kicks open the door for dancing and freestyle trickery and help navigate city streets.

RESPONSIVE CURVATURES

Cambered profile and mild concave create a responsive yet comfortable platform for carve-oriented longboarding.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE FLEX

Bamboo and fiberglass provide lively and energetic flex perfect for hard carving and pumping. Available in multiple flex ratings to tailor the ride to your weight and style. Lower flex is ideal for heavier and/or more aggressive riders; higher flex is recommended for lighter riders or those looking for a more responsive board.

SUPER SAP

Bio-based epoxy by Entropy Resins. Uses bio-based materials from industrial waste streams such as tree sap to replace petroleum content and reduce the carbon footprint of the epoxy from manufacturing. We've worked closely with Entropy to enhance every major performance characteristic of the resin. Better for the planet, even more fun.

RAPIDLY RENEWABLE

At the core of what makes the Dervish Sama great is bamboo. Bamboo grows up to 35x faster than traditional hardwoods, absorbs more CO₂, and regenerates naturally without replanting, making it a powerhouse of sustainability for high-performance skateboards.

Overall rating: 4.875 / 5 from 40 reviews.

Reigniting an old passion: a detailed review

"If you're in the fence of getting. back into boarding and/or are scared of (re)learning everything from scratch? Don't be. Pull the trigger. Get this deck. 200lbs dude here in case y'all wanna know where the flex sits. Super nice on flex 1 for me. Anyways on to the review! Review for future buyers: 10/10 My set up: Deck - dervish sama flex 1; by far the most intuitive feeling board I've ever stepped foot on. It feels genuinely made for me. The Concave + flex make it super responsive, super easy to lock your feet in when youre pumping or carving super hard. The ONLY "negative" that i have is; the kicks don't feel big/long enough for me (might be a personal thing n i acknowledge that) Trucks: Paris 180mm v2, can't go wrong, great all round pair of trucks that will do anything you ask if them within reasonable expectations. Great stock trucks, def the ones I have the most time on. Bearings: not super important, but I do appreciate the craftsmanship behind this set with the built in spacer and speed ring equivalent. Not super important in the sense that anything that isn't literally the cheapest bearing out there is usually fine, there's no need to drop 200$ on ceramic bearings when you're not at the level of getting paid to win races n comps n stuff. These bearings are great, get the job done. No complaints. Wheels: Orangatang 75mm 77a in heat. Nice contact patch, great softness. Nice and grippy. Makes cruising and carving great, big enough for most bumps and gravel. Overall: 9. 5/10 Now if you've read this far, you'll notice that this rating doesn't match my initial rating. Find out why further ahead. This review is directed at the staff, owner, designer, whoever it is you guys want to give credit for the design of this deck and making it possible to ship to Canada today. An old homie of mine has a tan tien, another had a classic dervish, and another had a bhangra v1. Of all the boards in my school, they were by far the best feeling to ride and it's not even close. Once I learned the basics of longboarding, I got more into downhill and Freeride. Got myself an OS Freeride 41 back in 2012. So i never really got too much time with the more flexy, carvy, dance boards but when I did I always had a blast. I knew I'd want one one day for sure. Time passed and i picked up a Landyachtz Battle-axe, and it was rad! Ended up giving it to my sister. Has a few other decks come and go but held on to my OG. Then this year comes around and I decide 'screw it, it's time i pulled the trigger on the dervish sama' And i haven't been riding much these past like 6ish years, but as soon as I stepped on that dervish sama deck I knew; I was home. And my god I missed it, and I didn't even realize. So thank you so much, Loaded team. From the bottom of my heart. Thank you for reigniting a passion for something I didn't realize was so critical to my being. I'm teaching my wife how to board, she's pushing on her own without holding on to me now and she's been in the deck for maybe 3 hours total. We are planning on getting my lil 2 year old nephew into it, and I'm gonna teach both of her sisters. Thank you for giving me so many more memories to look forward to making, and if you're still reading! (First off, I am sorry lol) This last portion, in my opinion, was enough to take it from a '9. 5' to a '10/10'. And i acknowledge it's mainly personal and nostalgia, but IDC man. Seems valid to me."

Reigniting an old passion: a detailed review

"Anyone thinking about getting back into boarding who hasn't really been active in a few years but is afraid of pulling the trigger on a new deck; don't be. This board is made for you. The description of 'riding on a cloud' is so accurate on this set up, it's nuts. 10/10 The review for future buyers: 200lbs man here, and the flex 1 of this feels like it's made for me. Paris 180v3 (super familiar, great all round truck. No complaints ever. ) Purple nipple bushings and I'm really enjoying them! My experience prior has been with a lot harder bushings with stiffer decks, and this is a lot more. . . flowy. I think that's the best way to put it, like it really encourages me to carve and get into the best of my music. Wheels: Orangatang 75mm 77a In heats, up there for one of the smoothest around town rides I've experienced for sure. I do wish I went a little bit taller, but that's on me, and personal preference based on environment: I've got a lot of not great sidewalks n stuff around and didn't realize that choosing shorter wheels would be so detrimental The deck: by far the most comfortable bamboo deck I've ridden (next to their bhangra but that one wasn't mine) The ONLY gripe I have with the whole set up, is I wish the nose and tail kicks were a tad longer. Overall 9. 5/10, now if you've read this far you'll notice this is not the 10/10 rating from the beginning of the review. . Read on for more. Personal review directly to the owners/designers/builders or whoever wants to take credit for this boards overall design and my ability to order it to Canada still. 15/10 An old homie of mine used to own a classic dervish, another had a tan tien, and another had the bhangra and I loved all of them. I'm so glad i pulled the trigger on the Sama this year finally, it's the second permanent addition to my collection. I've owned quite a few but only hung on to 1, now that number has increased. Thank you for creating such core memories for me, Loaded, to the point where 13 years later I still remember the few times I rode your decks. And thank you for letting me make many more years of memories to come! I now get to teach my wife how to board on your deck, and I plan to add at least two more of your line up to my collection, probably more. Thank you for reigniting a passion I didn't really fully realize that I had lost. As you can probably imagine, over the 13 years of boarding, my original (Original Freeride 41) has gotten some wear N tear. I've become less and less willing to ride it over the years because I don't want it to fall apart, it's my first deck n i want to inlay it into a door or something. The point is, you've given me a board that replaces that one fully; and you've given me the opportunity to teach my wife and her family how to board as well. It doesn't replace it in function completely, definitely not bombing as many hills anymore but. Thank you for giving this to me. Thus concludes the review, and while I can personally give it a 15/10, I have to acknowledge how much of that is based on feelings alone. Which is truly very little, the only 'issue' as I mention is wishing the kicks were longer. But, it is enough to prevent it from being truly perfect for me. Still phenomenal, smoothest ride I've ever owned and it's not even close."

My favorite board

"I got a second hand Dervish Sama a few year ago. I have many longboard and this one is still my favorite amongst all! It is good for almost anything I want to do, short commute, sunday stroll on the bike path, some dancing steps... I even took it on a pumptrack and could clear the bumps! It feels groovy and lively, just a perfect board! Now I hope this review gets me the Tarab II from this September giveaway! ;)"

Best Flexy/Pumping/Dancing/Cruising partner

"Reflecting what Loaded does the best, flexy for road vibration damping (and it spare so much my knees when you land a trick freestyle 🥲), but not completly sagging and very energetic for wonderfull session of pumping (I have made several LDPumping session of 30km on it). And finally just enormous for dancing thanks to its wide deck and this perfect lean/carve springy response🥹. Loaded please keep it forever in your line-up, in all the flex available (or at least 2 and 3) and please developp a PA-GF60 nose guard that can be mount on nose/tail for extra freestyle/dancing lifetime !!!"

Floating on the street

"You can have the smoothest ride with the dervish sama. It’s like floating on the street! It's not very agile."

Went from a Land Yacht

"Went from a Land Yacht Drop down Downhill board to this- love the carve and pump action I get from it, performs exactly how you'd want it too and board came complete and ready right out of the box"

Q&A

(Google Traduttore!).
My weight is right at 170. Ill fluctuate up to 175. Which flex makes more sense for me?
More flex (a flex 2), if your primary skating is carving and cruising and you like the deeper flex . If you have a little dancing, freestyle or mild freeride in your future then the slightly stiffer flex 1 might be your better option. Contact us at dontwalk@loadedboards.com if you have any other questions!
Are you able to throw a set of the zee brackets on this board?
Yes, but you'll need to follow the cut-out template on the Zee Bracket product page.
