ES PARA TI SI…
  • You want a compact board that’s easy and fun to ride for novices and seasoned skaters alike.
  • You want quicker acceleration and a snappier carve than 105mm wheels give you, plus the lowest ride height in the Fathom family.
  • You still appreciate big wheels that coast and plow over bumps and cracks (90mm is plenty big).
  • You commute rain or shine and want the Strata’s layered construction: a water-resistant, 3D-textured thermoplastic base bonded beneath the 8-ply maple.

Craving maximum rollover instead? The Fathom | Standard Longboard Complete rolls on 105mm Dad Bods. Looking for a longer platform and an even lower ride height? Check out the Tangent!

Meet the Loaded Fathom.

The Fathom is one of the easiest boards to ride in the world and a ton of fun. Built around the revolutionary Loaded Zee Bracket truck mounting system, with large wheels and a low ride height, the Fathom is our answer to the daily commute (and the long way home).

With 90mm of Orangatang urethane underfoot and a double-drop platform slung low over the pavement, the Fathom bridges the gap between board and bike. It reaches and sustains true commuting speeds, rolls over bumps and cracks that would stop a conventional skateboard cold, and still carves through crowds like a much smaller board.

This build is the quick one. The all-new 90mm Bee’s Knees setup drops your ride height, gets up to speed in fewer pushes, and snaps out of a carve faster than 105mm wheels can. It comes on the Fathom Strata, which debuts our layered construction: a water-resistant, 3D-textured thermoplastic base bonded to the 8-ply maple. Low, quick, and ready for whatever the forecast says.

COMMUTE-PROOF CONSTRUCTION

The Fathom Strata features 8-ply maple construction, slight camber for road-smoothing suspension, and lifted corners (with more aggressive grip tape) to lock in your feet. Then it goes further: a 3D-textured thermoplastic base bonded to the bottom of the deck adds strength to the layup and shields the maple from water, and a full dip seals the edges and rails for good measure, so your commute doesn’t need to check the forecast. And it’s large enough for comfort but compact enough to carry on the train and stow under your desk.

GO FASTER, FURTHER

The Fathom is built for speed and momentum. 90mm of Orangatang urethane keeps you rolling at true commuting speeds, faster than a conventional skateboard wants to go, and holds that pace with far fewer pushes. Get a good workout, explore the roads less traveled, or get to class/work without breaking a sweat. It’s up to you.

UNRIVALED CONTROL

Stable and easy to control, even at high commuting speeds. The low ride height makes pushing and footbraking effortless, the wide deck gives your feet a forgiving, stable platform, and upturned corners keep them out of the wheels. Don't turn your feet into street meat!

BIG WHEELS, TIGHT TURNS

A wooden double-drop with the curvature to clear 105mm wheels is practically impossible to build, so we developed the Zee Bracket in partnership with G-bomb: it takes the drop's stress off the maple layup, letting us shape huge wheel flares right into the platform. Double-drop Zee Brackets and relatively narrow trucks make this board surprisingly responsive and agile. Slalom through pedestrians, snake down alleys, carve the whole lane. A board with wheels this size has no right to turn this well.

Two longboards are shown outdoors on a paved road, held upright by two partially visible people. The boards have a cream-colored deck with a colorful geometric graphic in the center, black trucks, and wheels in pink and turquoise.

PINK AND NIMBLE

Say hello to Pink. The 90mm Bee’s Knees setup is all-new for the Fathom, and it rides noticeably livelier than the 105s: quicker acceleration, a snappier carve, and a lower platform under your feet. Bee’s Knees are centerset wheels, which sit further inboard than an offset wheel, so they run on wider 165mm Paris V3 hangers to put the urethane back out under the edges of the deck where it belongs. Pink urethane at 83a keeps a good balance of grip and roll speed. Flip it, rotate it, wear it evenly, keep going.
