Descripción

Agile, compact, and light, the Loaded Ballona was already the turniest thing in the mini cruiser aisle. Now it’s on true surfskate trucks for the first time. The Carver C5’s single-axis front truck adds deep, drivey carves and pump-from-a-dead-stop acceleration to the Ballona’s finely tuned geometry. The result is a pocket surfskate that turns any stretch of pavement into a point break.

WAVES NOT REQUIRED

Pump down the boardwalk, snap off imaginary lips in the school parking lot, and link driveway curb cuts on the way to the mailbox. Perfect for surf training, snowboard cross-training, and anyone who thinks the sidewalk has been holding out on them.

PUMP UP THE VOLUME

The Carver C5 system pairs a single-axis C5 front truck with a stable C4 rear. Shorter and narrower than classic surfskate trucks, it lowers the center of gravity and keeps the pop, so you can carve, pump, and still snap tricks. Up front, it stacks with the Ballona’s wedged nose geometry for seriously deep turns; out back, the C4 keeps the tail tracking and predictable.

CURVACEOUS CONFIDENCE

Subtle rocker in the standing platform transitions into the unique “Whale Belly” spoon concave in the nose, which locks in the front foot and allows for a secure stance behind or on top of the truck. This also wedges the front truck for dramatically enhanced agility, letting the more stable rear end track the more nimble front end.

LEAN, MEAN, AND FAT FREE

Orangatang’s 65mm Fat Free in a 77a: light, quick to accelerate, and grippy through hard carves, with a smooth, controlled release when you want to slash. A lively wheel for a lively board.

"I have a set of C5 trucks that I just got for my birthday. When I saw that they were being set up on the Ballona surfskate edition, I instantly thought that the deck would be a great fit. I run blue love handles on my CX setup already, and when I replace them, it will be with a fresh set of the same wheels. If you want a great surfskate that weighs less and is versatile for everything, from cruising to mellow hills to pump tracks and skateparks, I can’t think of a better option, plus it looks great."

"Unlike the popular mini cruisers, this board has a larger wheelbase, which makes the trip as comfortable as possible. I moved from omakase, for short trips, and it was very comfortable. Plus easier to carry in your hands."

So nice, I acquired it twice

"So good, I bought it twice. One is a monster truck on 77a Dad Bods/CX that rolls over everything and is easy to slide, the other is set up in a 50/44 Paris 180’s on 4Prez. The second setup is surprisingly pumpable, the first feels like a bit to bring it to speed, then good brother intertia kicks in. I love the feel of this board underfoot. It’s great with surf skate trucks as well as with Paris 50/44. Bravo, Loaded! This board is hella fun"
