Lisa at Sickboards gives us a little update on their most recent all-girl skate gathering!
On May 22nd, a group of 40 stoked girls got together through Facebook for a Sick Longboard Chick Meeting (girls only!!). Ranging in skill from beginner to more advanced, these girls got together at the brand new Sickboards shop in the Netherlands. Geared up, they took off cruising to the nearby park to skate all afternoon and participate in some beginner, sliding and dancing lessons by Sickboards teamriders Koek, Arto & Hilke. After a few hours, all the girls had improved their skills fast! And to celebrate the biggest chick meeting in Dutch history, we went out for cocktails on the beach! Chick party!!! Next Sick Longboard Chick Meet: June 18-19th in Scheveningen (including a sleepover at Sickboards)!
