It was less than a week after Gravity Slide Fest before travelers were already coming into town for the following weekend’s event. It wasn’t too long ago that finding a longboard event to attend was the hard part. Now, in the middle of November, when most people consider it to be the “off-season”, there are multiple types of events to attend. This past weekend was the IGSA U.S Nationals at Bonelli, Pender Harbour’s Slash for Cash, SDDRL #8 and a Beast (East) Coast Outlaw just to name a few. All of them on the same weekend with more events to come in the future.

The College Tour is still underway with new stops and more to come.

Skateboarding is growing and expanding to all points of the world. All different styles of riding are progressing and the list of major events is getting so vast that choosing which event to attend is the hardest decision. This year James, Adam, and I (Louis) were lucky enough to travel south for Peru’s first international downhill race.

After two weeks of dorm room floors and endless slide tips the first leg of the Loaded College Tour is complete and ready for more action. With over eight stops at various California and Arizona school Louis and I have seen a wide variety of the longboard spectrum.
