My friend Adam Stokowski, a lot of people would like to know more about you and that is why I think it is way over due to conduct a beautiful little interview with you my friend.

But if I can take some time I would like to do a little intro on you because I am very grateful for all your creativity, passion and help.

Adam S. and I go way back…. I think it was in the 7th grade I met Adam S. and he was a little short scrany kid at the time. His dad and him made the best grind rail and box on the block so after school all the kids would meet in front of his house and skate. Adam S. is 3 years younger than me so we defiantly had different friends, and at times we would not see each other, but skating always brought us back together… I love how that works.

While I was away at college in NC and Adam S. in college in Richmond, VA he broke his leg very badly jumping down a huge fence. He was out for over a year folks, no physical activities… just pins and metal all in his leg. He didn’t even go crazy.

Once healed jumping back on a regular street deck was a little far out of the questions so I gave Adam S. one of my home-made dancers with a sick monster graphic on it. When I came back from skating the US, Adam S. had practiced and became so smooth on the longboard that is sparked an idea in my head, we got to film and share what we have learned. The first video being Longboarding Adam S’s Style back in 2005.

I think everyone knows this but every video besides “Together Loaded” Adam S. and I have shot and edited ourselves. I have found no one better than Adam S. to make videos with. He has such a natural eye with shots and his filming is steady and dead on. From making so many videos with him I know how he works and he knows how I work. We mess well together and we both run ideas by each other so naturally that it creates such a creative environment. Just look at Fly Loaded, which he shot all himself, still one of my favorite videos will a great overall vibe.

Adam S. is a bit of a quite person but once you get to know him more he defiantly becomes more talkative. That is why I have so much fun in the challenge videos getting Adam S. to talk and push him out of his comfort zone a bit, and now we are on series 3 he is a natural in front of the camera, a true stud.

You can expect more videos from the Adam Squared squad and I am just so excited because every time we make a video together we are always laughing and having a good time. I think we laugh way too much but we just can’t help it.

Thanks for everything bud, we both have created something beautiful together that people are enjoying all over the world.

QUESTIONS FOR YOU….

So, you have a girlfriend now, how is that treating you and what is your secret to a successful relationship? It is amazing, and as for the secret I suppose it is just finding the right person.

What are you going to say to all those ladies whose hearts are broken? I doubt any hearts have been broken.

Does your girlfriend longboard and can she jump through hoops on fire? She just started longboarding recently and is doing great. As far as the hoops on fire I think she has retired from that, I hope. Although I have noticed some burn marks on her clothes recently, so who knows.

Do you have any videos of you street skating we want to see? I wish, we had a bunch of footage from when me and Adam first started skating together but it all burned during the tragic hoop of fire accident.

I know how tall you are but no one else does? I think about 6’3’’

Who would win in a fight you or I and how would it unfold? Can’t we just all get along?

What is your favorite move to do on the longboard and why? Has to be the good old cross-step, it’s just so relaxed and flows so nicely.

What are you going to school for at this moment, please share? Auto tech.

How many pull-ups can you do? My skinny arms can do 8

Do you consider yourself skinny or just really aero dynamic? Can I be both?

Many people think both you and I are high in the challenge videos is this true? Haha. Nope, it’s just us.

Looking back on all the videos we have done what do you think is our best video? I would have to say Get Loose. Everything just came together so well, from your vision to filming to editing. You know what your doing and I think this video shows it.

What video did you have the most fun making? Probably the first LBL dancer videos. It was exciting to get the boards that Larry had made based off of your homemade dancer and it was fun to make the videos to show them off. LBL Shadow Dancing

What advice would you give to someone making their 1st longboard video, or how to improve their boarding video? Detail shots and quick cuts. A good shot doesn’t have to show the whole scene, sometimes less is more. Just have fun with it.

What videos have you made the music for and what program did you use? Do you humu, get loose, ridge riders, Louis’s dvd video and some others. Garage band baby.

How do you like to ride your trucks for dancing and why? As loose as they go without falling apart, got to be able to carve that thing hard.

Do you consider yourself to be shy or you just saving your singing voice? shy

Do you think from doing all of our videos and talking to the camera a bunch and going to longboard events you have become less shy or about the same still? Probably not.

How did you get involved with Loaded and Longboard Larry? Through Adam C., He hooked up with Larry through is skate across America trip and I think that’s how he hooked up with loaded as well.

Do you consider yourself a professional rider? Not at all.

Are you trying to be the best at longboarding? I just think it is funny when people talk about someone being better than someone? What is your outlook? I’m just trying to have fun and learn new tricks. Its good to have people that are better than you cause then you can learn from them.

What would you say to someone that nags on another for not having the best trucks, wheels or a smooth style? I would tell them to ease up, it don’t matter what your riding or how your riding as long as your having fun doing it.

Favorite food, favorite fruit, favorite cereal? Pizza, Fresh pineapple, Fruity Pebbles

People always seem very stoked on what shoes you are wearing, what shoes are you rocking now and do you recommend them? Nike, P. Rodds, very durable for short boarding, which I’ve been doing a good amount of recently. They are good shoes, lasted a long time and still got some good life in them.

Do you feel like you have an important role in the longboarding world? I just think its cool that people are digging the videos and love to see when people post their own videos of themselves dancing. It’s nice to see people having fun with it.

What do you like about longboarding comparing it to skateboarding? It’s just so much smoother and relaxing.

What part of your skating abilities do you want to improve? Everything (short board, dancing, sliding, hopefully some downhill one day)

What does Adam S. do if he is not skating? Work, school, drum, motorcycle, hang out with my baby, run, ride my tiny bicycle, eat cottage cheese.

What is playground climbing and are you still keeping up with it? Playground climbing is what you do if you want your entire body to be sore. Now that it is getting warm I will be doing it more, it’s hard when its cold, its makes your hands numb from holding onto the cold metal.

Loaded Dancer are you excited? Isn’t everyone?

What can we except to see from you next? You will have to wait and see.

Anything else you would like to add….. If anyone wants to know anything else or wants to come to Springfield,VA to skate you are more then welcome. (adamspringfield@gmail.com)
